SmartModel Library for System Simulation

Synopsys Logic Modeling

SmartModels for System Simulation are behavioral-level models ofcommercially-available Integrated Circuits (ICs) that run on popularlogic simulators and CAE workstations. They provide the symbols, logic, and timing information needed to perform complete logic simulationanalysis of PCB and systems-level designs. Devices modeled includemicroprocessors, 32-bit building blocks, memories, PLDs, and complexTTLS.Logic Modeling has relationships with leading IC vendors, including AMD,Analog Devices, AT&T, Harris, Intel, Motorola, National Semiconductor,Signetics, Texas Instruments, Xylinx, and others, to exchange proprietaryproduct information. This enables Logic Automation to supply accuratemodels of popular devices at the earliest possible time, sometimes beforesilicon is commercially available.SmartModels increase designer productivity through knowledge-based systemanalysis, a capability that automatically pinpoints system design errors.During simulation, the models analyze all transitions and states, identifying such problems as incorrect protocols, timing errors, illegalchip usage, and initialization errors.
